Terms of Service

Last updated: 13 August 2026 · Payments terms version: 2026-08-13-payments

These terms are an agreement between you and WeBall Club Ltd (company no. 17294178, registered office 232 Brick Lane, London, England, E2 7EB, United Kingdom) — “we”, “us”, the “app” — and govern your use of the WeBall Club app and website. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please don't use the app. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer under the laws of England and Wales, including the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

Who can use WeBall Club

You must be 13 or over to use WeBall Club, and old enough to form a binding agreement where you live. You're responsible for the information you give us (including your name, phone number and date of birth) being accurate, and for keeping your login secure. You may not use the app if we've previously banned you.

Your account

Keep your password confidential; you're responsible for activity under your account. Tell us promptly if you think it's been compromised. You can delete your account at any time in Settings → Delete account, which removes your profile and personal data as described in the Privacy Policy.

Acceptable use

WeBall Club is for organising grassroots football. You agree not to:

Community standards & safety

We have zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behaviour. In group chat and on profiles you can report content or players and block anyone — a blocked user's messages and profile are hidden from you. We review reports and act on violations (removing content and suspending or terminating accounts), and aim to do so within 24 hours. Report anything urgent to admin@weballclub.com.

Your content

You keep ownership of the content you create — game details, results, chat messages, and images you upload. You grant us a limited, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, and display that content only as needed to run the app for you and your groups. You're responsible for what you post, and you confirm you have the right to post it. We may remove content, or suspend or terminate accounts, that break these terms or harm other players or the service.

Groups and invite codes

Anyone with a group's invite code can join that group and see its members' profiles and game activity, so only share codes with people you trust. Group organisers and admins are responsible for how they run their groups and use members' details.

Cost

WeBall Club app access is free. Optional WeBall Premium (if offered) is sold through your device's app store under that store's billing rules. Separately, groups may collect match fees, tournament entry fees, and club charges through in-app card payments — see below.

In-app payments (Stripe Connect)

Payments are processed securely via Stripe and paid directly to the event organiser. WeBall Club acts only as the platform facilitating the payment and is not responsible for payment dispute. Any refund will be subject to the organiser's refund policy.

How money flows

When a group enables in-app payments, players can pay fees in the app using Stripe. Processing runs through WeBall Club Ltd's Stripe account, and the organiser amount is transferred to the group's connected Stripe account.

WeBall currently charges no platform fee. The player pays exactly the price the organiser set — nothing is added at checkout. Estimated Stripe processing fees come out of the organiser's side, so the group receives the price it set less that processing estimate. We may introduce a platform fee in future; if we do, the rate will be shown to you before you pay and stated in these terms. Your card statement may show WeBall Club even though the fee is for your group's activity.

Organiser / group responsibilities

The group Admin or Manager (not Assistant) who enables payouts must be 18+ and authorised for the group, complete Stripe identity checks, and accept Stripe's Connected Account terms. The group — not WeBall — is responsible for pricing, running the activity, player complaints about the event, and their refund policy. WeBall does not organise or insure grassroots games. Organisers handle their own tax on money received.

Player responsibilities

Pay only for fees that apply to you. Before paying you will see the exact amount you will be charged and must accept these Payment Terms. You acknowledge WeBall Club is the platform, not the event organiser, and that the payment is made to the organiser.

Refunds

Any refund is subject to the organiser's refund policy. Group Admins/Managers can issue a refund in the app when they choose to. WeBall Club is not responsible for payment dispute. Stripe may still handle chargebacks under its own rules.

Caps and prohibited use

Default caps apply (e.g. £500 per game fee, £1000 per tournament entry) unless WeBall raises them. Don't use payments for illegal fundraising, to misrepresent WeBall as event host, or to abuse the service.

Consumer rights

Nothing here excludes rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or other non-excludable law of England and Wales. Contact the group Admin/Manager first for event issues, and admin@weballclub.com for payment-processing failures.

App marketplaces (Apple & Google)

If you downloaded WeBall Club from the Apple App Store, you also agree to Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement; if you downloaded it from Google Play, Google's Play Terms of Service also apply. As between you and us, we — not Apple or Google — are solely responsible for the app and its content, and for any warranty, maintenance, or support obligations, to the extent required by law. Apple and Google are not parties to these terms other than as a third-party beneficiary of the relevant standard terms, and have no obligation to furnish any maintenance or support for the app.

Football is a physical activity — play safely

WeBall Club only helps you organise games; we don't run, supervise, or insure them. You take part in any football at your own risk, and you're responsible for your own health, fitness, and safety and for the venues and other players you choose. We're not responsible for injuries, losses, disputes, payments, or anything else that happens at or around a game.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The app is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent allowed by law, we're not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost data, profits, or goodwill. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law (for example, for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or fraud).

Suspension and termination

You can stop using the app and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms or to protect the service or other users. Sections that by their nature should survive (e.g. content licence for already-posted content, disclaimers, limitation of liability) continue after termination.

Changes

We may update these terms; we'll change the “Last updated” date and highlight significant changes in the app. Continuing to use WeBall Club after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have non-exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, unless your local law gives you other rights (for example, if you live elsewhere in the UK or the EU as a consumer, you may bring proceedings in your local courts too).
